EarnIt Privacy Policy

What EarnIt stores, and where

To do its job, EarnIt keeps a small amount of information locally on the device where it is installed:

• •Child profile details you enter (first name, age, screen-time minutes and limits)
• •The tasks and questions you create or select, and their approval history
• •Which apps and categories you chose to manage through Apple's Screen Time controls
• •App settings such as the active child and lock state

This information is stored in the app's private storage on the device (shared only with EarnIt's own extensions and widget, via Apple's App Group mechanism). It is never sent to us or to anyone else. EarnIt has no server, no user accounts, and no analytics.

Apple Screen Time technology

EarnIt uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to manage app access. By Apple's design, these frameworks are privacy-preserving: the apps you select are represented by opaque tokens, and EarnIt cannot see which apps your family uses or read any activity data. Screen Time authorization is granted and can be revoked at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Children's privacy

EarnIt is designed for parents to set up and supervise. The app does not collect personal information from anyone — children or adults — and contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no social features, and no external links a child can reach without passing a parental gate.

Data deletion

Because all data lives on your device, deleting the EarnIt app permanently deletes all of its data.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of EarnIt ever changes these practices, this policy will be updated first and the change will be described in the App Store release notes.
